I must admit when I heard the story about the GEICO Insurance announcer getting canned because of inappropriate comments he made about the Tea Party and left in a voice mail message, it seemed to be of passing interest. It seemed rather ho hum if you ask me.
That was true until yesterday’s video showed (yet again) the potty-mouthed vitriol of the left, apparently triggered by his firing.
This morning I was over at America’s Right and was surprised to see preliminary information and a video (of which I was unaware ) in a post discussing the same topic … how the GEICO announcer decided to be smart-ass and end his career post haste.
It started, oddly enough, with a now former voiceover spokesman for GEICO Insurance, Lance Baxter, who left a disparaging voicemail message for FreedomWorks, the PAC responsible for much of the albeit loose organization behind the Tea Party movement. While I’m sure his voice sounded buttery smooth, what he had to say wasn’t exceptionally nice, as he characterized members of the movement as mentally challenged and wondered aloud what would happen if one of the Tea Partiers turned to violence.
Then, one of the folks behind FreedomWorks posted Baxter’s telephone number online and encouraged people to call. Baxter’s phone inevitably rang off the hook, and from the looks of the video below, he was shocked–SHOCKED!–by the venom and vitriol he heard from angry Tea Partiers on the other end of the line. Before you view this video, you may want to go back and play yesterday’s video first. Then ask yourself this. How does “You are a real jerk!” equate to, “you’re nothing but a bunch of mother fu@#in bunch of Klan ass dogs?”
